Dhankuta is globally recognized for specialty high-elevation plucking, notably exquisite downy Silver Needle white tea buds and tightly rolled mountain oolongs. At elevations exceeding 2,200 meters, cool night temperatures cause the tea bush to synthesize high concentrations of natural amino acids (L-theanine) and protective aromatic polyphenols.
Every spring lot is hand-plucked at daybreak before the sun dries the alpine dew from the downy buds, yielding a cup of breathtaking delicacy, silky mouthfeel, and melon sweetness.
